I believe all prayers are worthwhile, especially intercessory prayers. But once in a while it’s okay to remember this:
Dear Lord,
Please don’t let it take a crisis in my life to discover what is important to me. Remind me to look around and reflect on what I enjoy and what is precious to me and prompt me to be grateful every day. Amen.
