Kindness is a fruit of the spirit. It is an overflowing manifestation of one’s true character. It can’t help itself. Kindness is the reflection of God’s love and grace in our own lives.

Being nice is a decision. You can choose to be nice to anyone or anything you choose. A family member, a group of people, your employees, a pet. All appreciate a decision by someone who chooses to be nice. But nice isn’t a spiritual act. It’s a moral act. It can be meted out or withheld at one’s discretion. Being nice can be manipulated in hopes of producing a specific outcome.

You can be nice without being kind. Kindness always has someone else’s or something else’s interest at heart.
